The Group

As a member of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe, Coinca S.A.C. combines local and international expertise to form a reliable source of green coffee exports and a service which is tailored to our individual suppliers’ and customers’ needs.

Our offices as well as one of our export mills are located in Lima, the capital of Perú, in the vicinity of the port of Callao, which handles around 54% of all Peruvian coffee exports.

Coinca was founded in 1984. In its early days, besides buying export ready coffee from other exporters and mills, parchment was bought from big intermediaries and processed at third party mills. However, the desire to get closer to the producer in order to secure and control the supply of high quality parchment motivated Coinca to go through profound changes.

Over the years Coinca has established a purchasing and information network of 8 buying stations which encompasses all Peruvian coffee producing areas: Quillabamba in the South,  Chanchamayo in the center and Moyobamba and Jaen in the North.

These buying stations are equipped with the necessary infrastructure to make them front runners in the race for high quality parchment and are staffed by Coinca’s highly trained and motivated personnel. Coinca’s dedicated quality department carefully analyses and controls the product at every stage, from purchasing right up to container stuffing.

Additionally, we have a business alliance with 5 important intermediaries who are also strategically located in the most important production areas and with whom we have been working for many years. This continuity guarantees their understanding of Coinca’s concept of quality.

Today, thanks to this effort, Coinca buys parchment coffee directly from producers, producer associations and co-operatives. Coinca also provides pre-crop financing facilities to selected suppliers. Many years of co-operation and support to producers have established strong relationships. The direct contact to producers together with our quality control brought us a strong foothold and influence in the Peruvian gourmet coffee market.

Our new processing facility in Chamaya

OUR SERVICES

Our export mill in Lima just recently had its processing lines renewed and a new state-of-the-art electronic sorting machinery was installed.

Additionally, in May 2006 we have inaugurated our new mill in the northern village of Chamaya. This investment is in line with our policy to constantly get closer to the production areas and enable us to assure the consistency of our qualities. Coffees processed in this mill is being shipped through the port of Paita.

These modern dry mills enable us to offer the complete range of Peruvian qualities: from low grades to US and European preparations, as well as special preparations like screened coffees, peaberries and custom defect counts as per our customers' specifications.

With these systems in place, we can guarantee a uniform and controlled product, satisfying even the most demanding customer.

On the packaging side we offer food safe and IJIRA oil treated Indian jute bags in various sizes and labels. Moreover, Coinca owns modern belt-driven bulk loading equipment, which allows us to ship in large 300 bag equivalent bulk liner bags.
